Job summary

Howden in Birmingham is offering a permanent role through an 18-month development programme to start your career in insurance. The apprenticeship focuses on Claims, with structured induction and gradual responsibility.

You’ll learn how policies work, handle client calls, and support the team with data analysis and reporting, while gaining qualifications and building customer service skills.

Qualifications

• No prior insurance experience required; training provided.
• Eligibility includes UK right to work and residency requirements.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or higher.
• No existing qualification that overlaps with this apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Support Claims Handlers and Executives by gathering information from clients about their claims.
• Gain hands-on experience in how insurance policies work and how cover is assessed.
• Learn how to handle calls with clients and deliver excellent customer service.
• Support the team with follow-ups with clients and insurers to keep claims moving.
• Help prepare reports and analyse data.
