Job summary

Howden is hiring for an Insurance Apprenticeship Programme in Bournemouth, starting September 2027. You join in a permanent role while completing an 18-month development programme, with an office-based role and a salary of £23,000.

• No prior insurance experience required.
• Final year or recent school leaver.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4.

Responsibilities

• Learn the foundations of insurance, customer service and sales through hands-on experience and structured training.
• Support colleagues in finding suitable insurance solutions for new and existing clients.
• Play an active role in achieving sales goals by securing new business opportunities and supporting client renewals.
• Develop written communication skills by preparing professional client correspondence.
• Build long-term relationships and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and assist with policy amendments and renewals.
