Job summary

Howden in London offers a permanent apprenticeship in Personal Lines, starting with an 18-month development programme and a base salary of £23,000.

You will work in the office at least 4 days per week in Tooting, learning the foundations of insurance, building client relationships and gaining a Level 3 insurance qualification. The programme prepares you for a fully office-based role after completion, with opportunities to support sales and renewals.

Qualifications

• No prior insurance experience required.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or higher.
• Must have right to work in the UK and have lived in the UK for 3 years.
• Not currently holding a qualification that significantly overlaps with this apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Complete induction and join our Personal Lines team.
• Learn foundations of insurance, customer service and sales through hands-on experience.
• Support colleagues in finding suitable insurance solutions for clients.
• Aim to achieve sales goals by securing new business opportunities and supporting renewals.
• Develop written client correspondence and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate with clients and insurers by email and phone.
