River Island Clothing Co., Ltd. in Basingstoke is seeking an energetic People & Service Team Leader to support store operations and lead a motivated team delivering exceptional customer service.

Reporting to the People & Service Manager, you will develop the team, maintain visual standards, and drive KPIs while ensuring a great customer journey. This fixed-term contract role requires hands-on leadership, weekend work, and a focus on creating an engaging, inclusive environment for both customers

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, preferably in a supervisor role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver consistently great service and role model this across the store team.
• Create an inclusive environment where all team members feel valued.
• Foster wellbeing by maintaining open communication for the store team.
• Duty manage across product and operations and support store manager.
• Empower the team to deliver the customer journey with a focus on service, visuals and operations.
• Drive store KPIs including sales, stock loss, payroll, conversion, and customer feedback.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and store policies.
• Support development of the store team to maintain high performance and engagement.
