Role in the Fresh Insights team

This hands-on role reports to the Senior Account Manager – MFP & Produce and involves working with clients in the produce category, from startups to billion-pound businesses. You will analyze their business, categories, and relationships with Tesco to build value-added propositions that monetize our data and insights.

You will network within client organizations, understanding and building relationships with stakeholders and budget holders across disciplines. Knowledge of our tools and the ability to consultatively sell to both existing and new clients is essential.

Additionally, you will support the Senior Account Manager with forecasting, new business development, and proposal writing.

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Experience in account management or category management in a Tesco-facing role, or success in insight sales, with progression in relevant sales roles. Experience in the fresh category is a plus.
  • Proven ability to use data to influence stakeholders or consistently meet sales KPIs.
  • Understanding of the UK retail market, including current challenges and opportunities.
  • Resilient, positive, and innovative in problem-solving.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, adaptable communication style, and influencing ability.
  • Highly organized with strong numeracy and structured account planning skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of creating simple, actionable solutions.
