Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers PLC is seeking a Night Porter to welcome guests, maintain a safe, clean environment and support front-of-house operations across our venues. The role involves early hours, responding to inquiries and ensuring guest comfort throughout the night.

You'll be the first point of contact for late arrivals and walk-ins, handle guest requests, and contribute to a warm, safe atmosphere. A DBS check is required; pension, holidays and staff discounts are offered.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact when checking in late arrivals and walk-ins
• Ensure a warm, friendly and genuine welcome
• Carry out front of house cleaning tasks and set up breakfast/meeting rooms as needed
• Ensure guest and business safety and security is top priority
• Assist in fire evacuations and safety procedures
• Answer telephone inquiries and address guest complaints to ensure a pleasant stay

What You'll Do In This Role

• Be the first point of contact when checking in late arrivals and walk-ins
• You’ll ensure a warm, friendly and genuine welcome
• The role is varied and, depending on your site, may include: cleaning tasks within the front of house, external and breakfast areas, setting up the meeting room(s) and breakfast for the next day
• You’ll ensure guest and business safety and security is top priority at all times
• In the event of a fire, evacuating all guests and team from the business safely and quickly
• You’ll answer telephone enquiries and deal with guest complaints to ensure everyone enjoys their stay.
