Job Details

Join our Engineering Team at Telent, where you'll be empowered to innovate and drive common solutions, working closely with technical experts committed to making an impact. Be part of a high-performing team handling complex and critical work, helping to build and maintain the nation's critical infrastructure connected and protected 24/7.

The NOC (Network Operations Centre) Technician will provide administrative support to the NOC engineering team, ensuring incidents are resolved according to procedures and contractual KPIs. The role involves working on a 24/7, 365-day shift rota.

Responsibilities:
  1. Handle incoming phone calls and emails, responding in line with KPIs.
  2. Create network incident tickets from customer reports.
  3. Action Service Requests.
  4. Allocate/despatch tickets to technical support, field engineering groups, and other service providers.
  5. Manage incident tickets with regular updates.
  6. Coordinate traffic management, liaising with traffic management providers, regional control teams, and field resources.
  7. Communicate with customers to provide updates on network incidents.
  8. Coordinate with utility companies regarding power loss issues affecting the network.
Candidate Profile:

Previous experience supporting Enterprise and Service Provider Networks, ideally within a NOC environment.

Key Requirements:
  • Experience in 1st Line diagnostics and incident resolution.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise at all levels of seniority.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office packages.
