Barratt Developments PLC is seeking an experienced engineer to oversee infrastructure and groundwork design for residential developments. You will coordinate with external Consulting Engineers, ensure foundation solutions, roads and sewers are designed to plan and that adoption agreements are secured in a timely manner.

Educated to HNC/HND in Engineering with 5+ years post-qualification experience, you will manage value engineering and ensure compliance with building regulations while liaising

Qualifications

• Educated to HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline with 5+ years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in a design related environment, preferably with Civil or Structural Consulting Engineers.
• Proficient in negotiations with external bodies and coordinating with the design team; CAD tools experience desirable.

Responsabilités

• Procure services records and enquiries for new developments, including timely payment for new services infrastructure.
• Oversee the design and detailing carried out by externally appointed Consulting Engineers for external works (foundation solutions, estate roads, sewers, Section 38/104/S278).
• Secure adoption agreements (S38, S104, S278) with timely bonds in place, reduced and extinguished as needed.
• Contribute input into securing structural designs for superstructure components.
• Maintain evaluation/peer review of consultant designs to ensure value engineering and statutory compliance.
• Liaise with Technical Team to discharge building regulations and planning conditions.
