Job summary

Warwickshire County Council is looking for an Information Governance professional to support information requests and information rights. You will work on Subject Access Requests, Freedom of Information, Environmental Information and Police Disclosure requests, ensuring accurate responses.

Based in Shire Hall, Warwick, the role is hybrid with one in-office day per week. The Fluency Duty requires clear spoken English when advising the public, in line with the Code of Practice.

Qualifications

  • Experience handling information rights requests (SAR/FOI/etc).
  • Knowledge of public sector information governance and data protection.
  • Strong communication skills in English required for public advice.

Responsibilities

  • Support Subject Access Requests (SAR) and FOI requests.
  • Assist with Environmental Information Requests and Police Disclosure requests.
  • Provide clear, accurate information and guidance to the public.
  • Support ongoing information governance initiatives and training.

This role will be a key part of that team, supporting information requests and information rights, chiefly supporting:



  • Subject Access Requests

  • Freedom of Information Requests

  • Environmental Information Requests

  • Police Disclosure Requests


The team is based in Shire Hall, Warwick, but the role is flexible, with a hybrid approach to working with an in-office team day once a week. The team is centred around this hybrid approach to working, providing staff with a good work-life-balance and a commitment to your continued professional development. The Fluency Duty is outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers. The Fluency Duty for this role is Required. You must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
