Job Opportunity: Infectious Diseases / Medical Microbiology Consultant

On behalf of a hospital based in Northern Ireland, we are seeking an experienced Infectious Diseases / Medical Microbiology Consultant for an initial 3-month locum position, with potential for extension.

Role Details:

• This is a clinically oriented role with significant ward round responsibilities, especially in Critical Care areas. The successful candidate will work alongside consultant colleagues to deliver a comprehensive, efficient, and cost-effective microbiology, virology, and infection prevention and control service to UHP and other users.
• On-call duties are negotiable and to be confirmed.
• Great location with available local accommodation if needed.
• Easily accessible by public transport and car, less than 30 minutes from an international airport with daily flights from Manchester.

Requirements:

• GMC registration; entry on the specialist register is advantageous but not essential.
• Minimum of 1 year NHS experience at Consultant level, capable of working independently.
• Must be onsite.

Negotiable pay terms.
