Job summary

PepsiCo UK invites undergraduate students to join our 12-month Supply Chain placement starting July 2027 in Leicester and across UK sites. You’ll work on real projects that matter, with guidance and development to help you grow.

You will analyse data, participate in continuous improvement, and gain operational exposure through SPARK and Lean initiatives. The program includes mentoring, 25 days leave, and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• RTW for duration of the full time placement (July 2027–July 2028).
• Penultimate year of university studies with sandwich placement option.
• Degree path in Mechanical/Electrical, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering or closely related disciplines.
• Intellectual curiosity and willingness to challenge the status quo.

Responsibilities

• Analyse performance data and metric trends, preparing validated data and loss trees to support Daily and Weekly Direction Setting.
• Facilitate problem-solving sessions using 6W2H/UPS to identify root causes and implement actions.
• Support loss elimination activities including GEMBA walks and process improvement workstreams.
• Support continuous improvement projects across equipment and manufacturing processes.
• Work with line teams to deliver zone physical standard improvements and maintain workplace standards.
• Contribute to SPARK activities by developing centreline parameters, supporting rapid changeovers and health checks.
• Train, coach and support operators in Daily Management Systems.
• Build knowledge of manufacturing processes and Manufacturing Excellence programmes (SPARK, Integrated Work Systems, Lean Six Sigma).
• Be given real-life objectives and make a noticeable contribution to the department.
