Job summary

A leading supplier of industrial automation equipment is seeking a Business Development Candidate to cover the North East Region, preferably based in Newcastle. You will drive business by managing partnerships and leveraging your sales experience in industrial applications. A vocational qualification in business or engineering is required, along with a solid track record in sales. This role also requires flexibility for national overnight stays.

Job Description:

This is a great opportunity to join a leading supplier of industrial automation equipment as a Business Development Candidate (BDC) covering the North East Region. The successful candidate will be based in or around Newcastle and will work remotely. Candidates must demonstrate growth in previous business development or sales roles, with knowledge of supply chain specialists, automation solutions involving pneumatic assemblies and components, and electrical drives.

The role involves managing a mix of official partners, with a primary focus on driving end-user and regional OEM business. Candidates should have a vocational qualification in business or engineering, an engineering HNC/Degree or higher, and previous external sales experience in industrial sales. Experience working for a manufacturer or distributor is advantageous.

National overnight stays may be required as needed.
