A local government authority based in Worksop is seeking a finance/revenues specialist to join their Transactional Finance Team. The successful candidate will deliver a high-quality service concerning council tax, business rates, and accounts receivables. Applicants must hold 5 GCSEs including Maths and English, coupled with experience in a finance setting. Benefits include up to 32 days holiday and a flexible working policy. Centrally based within our busy Finance department at Worksop, Nottinghamshire, this is an excellent opportunity for a suitably experienced finance/revenues specialist to join our Transactional Finance Team.
As a key member of staff, your main responsibilities will be to provide a high quality service to our customers covering the specific areas of council tax and business rates enforcement, accounts receivables, housing benefit overpayments, housing and garage rent collection and former tenant arrears.
Suitable candidates will possess 5 GCSE’s (Grade C or above / L4-9 (or equivalent) including Maths and English) and be computer literate with experience of using Microsoft Office packages. Experience of working within a finance environment is essential.
The role requires a person with excellent communication skills, who has the ability to analyse data effectively, work under pressure and in difficult situations.
