Job summary

The Chelmsford Learning Partnership is seeking an Inclusion Base Lead to establish and lead a new Inclusion Base supporting pupils experiencing barriers to attendance and learning. You will oversee daily operations, design targeted interventions and coordinate multi‑agency support to improve outcomes.

Working term‑time with 37 hours a week, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape provision for vulnerable learners and to drive improvements in attendance and engagement across Beaulieu Park

Qualifications

• Has experience working with vulnerable, disengaged or hard-to-reach young people.
• Understands EBSA, SEND, attendance and barriers to learning.
• Has experience developing and delivering successful intervention programmes.
• Can build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and families.
• Is confident leading support plans and coordinating provision for individual pupils.
• Has excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Has the confidence to work collaboratively with external agencies and school staff.
• Believes that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the school's Inclusion Base.
• Deliver structured learning programmes that support pupils to remain engaged with education.
• Design, implement and evaluate targeted interventions to improve attendance, engagement and outcomes.
• Lead reintegration programmes for pupils experiencing EBSA, persistent absence and reduced timetables.
• Act as Lead Professional for pupils accessing the provision.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to teaching assistants and mentors working within the Inclusion Base.
• Build strong relationships with pupils and families to remove barriers to learning and attendance.
• Coordinate multi-agency support and review meetings.
• Monitor attendance, engagement and reintegration outcomes, evaluating the impact of provision and contributing to school improvement.
• Work collaboratively with subject leaders to ensure pupils maintain access to a broad and ambitious curriculum.
