Job summary

Cromer Academy, part of Inspiration Trust, is seeking a passionate Teacher (Inclusion Base) to lead our specialist Inclusion Base within a mainstream secondary setting, supporting pupils with additional needs to reach their potential.

You will deliver high-quality teaching, develop personalised learning plans with pupils, parents and carers, and supervise support staff while safeguarding and promoting inclusion across the academy.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and evidence of teacher training.
• Experience delivering high-quality teaching in a secondary setting.
• Knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and safeguarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Inclusion Base, delivering outstanding teaching and specialist SEND provision.
• Deliver a broad curriculum and adapt teaching to meet individual EHCP requirements.
• Develop and review personalised learning plans with pupils, parents and carers.
• Monitor pupil progress and adapt interventions to maximise outcomes.
• Collaborate with mainstream colleagues to promote inclusive practice.
• Lead and support teaching assistants and staff within the Inclusion Base.
• Build partnerships with parents, carers, external agencies and professionals.
• Support effective transitions into, within and beyond the Inclusion Base.
• Maintain safeguarding, behaviour, attendance and pupil wellbeing standards.
