Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the B45 area on a full-time, long-term basis, starting ASAP. You will support pupils in the classroom, assist 1:1 and small groups, and help maintain positive behaviour and smooth daily routines. DBS update service or willingness to obtain one is required.

Competitive pay and a dedicated consultant will support you throughout your placement, with access to local school opportunities and ongoing CPD.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is desirable.
• Positive, proactive, and adaptable attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils within the classroom environment.
• Working closely with the class teacher to support learning and development.
• Providing 1:1 and small group support where required.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
• Assisting with classroom preparation and daily routines.
