Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly school in the B13 area on a full-time, long-term basis with an immediate start. You will support pupils in the classroom to reach their full potential, work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons, provide 1:1 and small group assistance, and promote positive behaviour.

DBS and right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children in a school setting is desirable.
• A positive, proactive, and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils in the classroom to achieve their full potential.
• Working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons.
• Providing 1:1 and small group support where required.
• Promoting positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing.
• Assisting with classroom preparation and daily activities.
