Job summary

Aspire People Limited in Birmingham's B13 area is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school on a long-term basis with an immediate start.

You will support pupils in the classroom, work with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons, provide 1:1 and small group support, promote positive behaviour and assist with daily activities.

A DBS via Update Service is preferred or willingness to obtain one, and you must have the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children in a school setting is desirable
• A positive, proactive, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils in the classroom to achieve their full potential
• Working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons
• Providing 1:1 and small group support where required
• Promoting positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing
• Assisting with classroom preparation and daily activities
