Job summary

Blue Triangle (Glasgow) Housing Association Limited is seeking a Support Worker for its CB Portwell service in Hamilton. The role involves providing safe, secure, supported accommodation for people experiencing homelessness, with a focus on practical and emotional support to help individuals achieve personal outcomes.

The position is part-time (20 hours per week), on-site, with a pro rata salary of £24,479 per annum.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for helping people.
• Ideally 1 year experience with vulnerable people and challenging behaviour (personal, voluntary or professional).
• Commitment to care practice per SS SC code of practice and National Care Standards.
• Ability to relate empathetically and respect client choice and independence.
• Ability to work flexibly and as a lone worker.
• Able to use Microsoft or equivalent applications.
• Ideally SVQ level 2 or above and willingness to pursue SVQ 3.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to provide safe, secure, supported accommodation for homeless people.
• Support, review and monitor cases to achieve positive, person-centred outcomes.
• Maintain and update recording systems and documentation within required timelines.
• Plan and facilitate key work meetings and reviews with the person’s support plan.
• Provide advocacy and advice to help people meet occupancy conditions.
