Job summary

Blue Triangle is seeking a part-time Support Worker to join the Kilmarnock service. You will work nights, delivering safe, supportive accommodation and practical help to people experiencing homelessness, helping them progress toward personal outcomes.

The role requires empathy, flexibility, and experience with vulnerable people. You will register with the SSSC within 3 months and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for helping people.
• Ideally 1 year experience with vulnerable people (personal, volunteer or professional).
• Commitment to care practice per SSSC, National Care Standards and relevant policies.
• Ability to relate empathetically and respect independence.
• Flexible, able to work as a lone worker and use MS Office.
• Willing to work towards SVQ3.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, secure, supported accommodation and practical and emotional support.
• Coordinate with the team to achieve person-centred outcomes in line with policies.
• Maintain recordings and documentation within required timeframes.
• Plan, facilitate key work meetings and support plan reviews.
• Offer general advocacy and advice to help occupancy conditions.
