Job summary

Blue Triangle is recruiting a Support Worker to help provide safe, secure accommodation for people experiencing homelessness. You will offer practical and emotional support to enable positive daily outcomes and work within a supportive team environment.

Successful candidates will register with the Scottish Social Services Council and pursue ongoing professional development. The role emphasizes empathy, flexibility and the ability to work independently when needed, with progression toward SVQ3.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience with vulnerable people (personal, voluntary or professional).
• Familiar with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) code of practice and National Care Standards.
• Ability to empathise and respect choice and independence.
• Flexible, capable to work as a lone worker.
• Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willing to work towards SVQ3.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to provide safe, secure, supported accommodation for homeless people.
• Support, review, monitor and evaluate through case management for positive person-centred outcomes.
• Maintain and update recording systems and documentation in line with policies and timeframes.
• Plan and facilitate key work meetings and sessions with the person’s support plan.
• Provide general advocacy and advice to help meet occupancy conditions.
