Job summary

Targeted Provision is seeking SEND Tutors and Teachers in the UK to work with schools and local authorities. The role focuses on Maths, English, or Science tuition for learners with SEND and SEMH needs, delivering trauma-informed, flexible learning across in-person, online, and hybrid formats.

Candidates should have 2+ years of teaching experience, familiarity with SEND/SEMH, QTS/QTLS, and an Enhanced DBS with references. Roles are self-employed and opportunities arise as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years teaching, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a trauma-informed way.
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS).
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references.
• Location: UK-based with right to work in the UK, including remote/online jobs.
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person, online/remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Support pupils by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
• Plan and report lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress.
• Contribute to raising education standards for SEND and SEMH learners.
