Job summary

Targeted Provision is seeking SEND Tutors and Teachers to work with schools and local authorities, delivering in-person, online, or hybrid tuition for Maths, English, or Science to learners with SEND/SEMH needs.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of teaching experience, QTS/QTLS, and an Enhanced DBS. Roles are self-employed, with flexible hours and a focus on trauma-informed, student-centred support for vulnerable learners.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD/PMLD in a trauma-informed approach.
• Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS).
• Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this) and 2+ professional references.
• Based in the UK with right to work in the UK, even for remote/online jobs.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online/remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs.
• Support pupils referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress.
