Riverside is seeking a Support Worker in Greater Manchester to provide housing-related support to customers experiencing homelessness and complex needs. You will connect clients with employability and social services, manage budgets, and help move people towards more permanent housing.

The role involves risk assessments, support planning, and maintaining clear records. It requires empathy, resilience, and the ability to work as part of a team in a demanding setting.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with vulnerable people.
• Experience of delivering structured support and risk management.
• A caring, empathetic team player with resilience.
• Understanding of supporting vulnerable people, incl. lived experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours including lone working.

Responsabilités

• Lead on co-producing bespoke support and move-on plans with key stakeholders.
• Organise regular reviews of support and risk plans after changes or incidents.
• Engage customers to meet outcomes and develop life skills.
• Assist with day‑to‑day support and tenancy-related matters.
• Identify opportunities for employment, education and training.
• Signpost to external support services including food banks and community resources.
• Support customers to be tenancy ready and financially independent.
