Riverside is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our Ark House team in Stroud. You will provide practical and emotional support to customers, help them access services, manage benefits and budgeting, and work towards tenancy readiness.

The role requires resilience, empathy, and the ability to maintain records and collaborate with external agencies. You will work a 37.5-hour week on a 2 weeks rolling rota that includes weekends and Bank Holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with vulnerable people
• Experience of delivering structured support and risk management
• Be a team player with a caring and empathetic nature with a resilient, can-do attitude
• Understanding of supporting vulnerable people – lived experience of homelessness or addiction could help
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet customer and business needs, including lone working

Responsabilités

• Leading on Co-producing bespoke support and move-on plans with key stakeholders
• Organising and carrying out regular planned reviews of support and risk plans
• Engaging customers to meet outcomes and develop life skills
• Assisting customers with day-to-day support and tenancy-related matters
• Identifying opportunities for employment, education and training and helping remove barriers
• Signposting customers to external support services
• Supporting customers to be tenancy ready and financially independent
• Monitoring healthcare needs and coordinating with health professionals
• Facilitating group work and safeguarding procedures
• Recording accurate customer information on digital systems
• Carrying out day-to-day administration and operational duties
• Travel to properties as required and work flexibly to meet needs
