Job summary

Vitacress Herbs, Lagness Road, Runcton, Chichester PO20 1LJ, is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager on a 12‑month maternity cover. The role is hybrid (minimum 2 days in the office) and full-time (40 hours per week), reporting to the Head of Finance.

You’ll lead monthly management accounts and group reporting, drive controls and governance, mentor the Purchase Ledger and Accounts Assistant teams, and partner with senior leaders to turn data into insight using IFRS expertise and strong Excel

Qualifications

• As IFRS knowledge is essential in a commercial environment.
• Experience in financial reporting, accounting or finance management.
• Experience leading and mentoring teams with performance management.
• Strong relationships across all business levels.
• Excellent communication to explain complex financial information.
• Proactive, solutions-focused with process improvement mindset.
• Experience with ERP systems and managing reporting processes.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting for the Herbs BU with accuracy and timeliness.
• Produce monthly management accounts and senior management packs.
• Coordinate monthly group reporting with Group Finance.
• Strengthen controls, processes and governance across the business.
• Build strong relationships with operations and stakeholders for insight.
• Coach and develop Purchase Ledger and Accounts Assistant teams.
• Maintain balance sheet integrity with reconciliations and reviews.
• Support statutory accounts and audit requirements; assist VAT/compliance.
