Venture Recruitment Partners seeks a Financial Reporting Manager in Chichester on a 12-month maternity cover. The role leads financial reporting, compliance, controls and a small finance team within a growing organisation.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will deliver monthly management accounts, group reporting, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives, while ensuring accuracy, timeliness and robust financial controls. The position offers a competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs for senior leadership.
• Manage monthly group reporting submissions and liaise with Group Finance.
• Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow reporting, and financial planning.
• Lead annual statutory audit process and act as primary contact for external auditors.
• Oversee financial controls, process documentation, and internal audit compliance.
• Manage fixed asset accounting and IFRS 16 lease reporting.
• Monitor payroll and pension submissions for accuracy and compliance.
• Lead, develop, and mentor a small finance team.

Working Pattern: 4 days on site initially reducing to 2-3

A well-established and highly regarded business is seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join its finance team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to take ownership of financial reporting, compliance, controls, and team leadership within a dynamic and growing organisation.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while supporting business performance, statutory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs for senior leadership.
• Manage monthly group reporting submissions and act as the primary liaison with Group Finance.
• Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow reporting, and financial planning activities.
• Lead and coordinate the annual statutory audit process, acting as the primary contact for external auditors.
• Oversee financial controls, process documentation, and internal audit compliance.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a confident and commercially aware finance professional with strong technical accounting expertise and leadership experience.

You will ideally have:

• ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• Proven experience in financial and management reporting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS.
• Experience of working within a multi-entity or group reporting structure.
• Previous experience managing or mentoring finance staff.
• Advanced relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
• The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• A proactive approach to improving processes and driving financial control.
