Job summary

The Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) is seeking a Group Event and Projects Manager to lead the planning and delivery of major events at Principality Stadium in Cardiff. You’ll work with the Head of Event Sales and Operations and across WRU teams to coordinate fixtures, concerts and other events to deliver outstanding experiences.

This role requires strong project management, stakeholder engagement and budget control in a high-profile venue.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering live sporting and/or entertainment events.
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and contractors.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements in large venues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Planning and coordinating events in line with the Stadium’s planning process.
• Producing Event Management Plans and documentation.
• Collaborating with Event Owners and promoters on requirements.
• Coordinating teams, contractors and statutory agencies for resources.
• Supporting safe event-day operations across stadium areas.
• Managing event budgets within agreed parameters.
• Building relationships with key stakeholders.
• Overseeing the Principality Stadium Community Events Programme.
• Supporting additional events and special projects.
