Job summary

Welsh Rugby Union Group is seeking an Events and Projects Manager (Maternity Cover) to lead planning and delivery of major events at Principality Stadium, Cardiff. You will work with the Head of Event Sales and Operations and Event Owners to ensure safe, seamless events that meet commercial and customer expectations.

The role requires experience in high-profile venues, strong project management, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a high-profile, multi-purpose venue.
• Experience planning and delivering live sporting and entertainment events.
• Experience working with internal teams, external stakeholders, contractors and statutory agencies.
• Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience working within a commercially focused, safety-led environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Event Sales and Operations (HESO) in delivering the stadium’s event strategy.
• Develop relationships with Event Owners, delivery partners and stakeholders.
• Create and implement bespoke Event Management Plans for each event.
• Plan events in line with planning processes, legislation and safety requirements.
• Define service standards and support the stadium team to deliver an excellent experience.
• Coordinate event documentation and resource planning across teams.
