Job summary

Mott MacDonald is recruiting for an Electrical Lighting Engineer to join our Street Lighting team across Birmingham, Leeds, Sheffield, and Liverpool. You will contribute to national transport lighting projects, delivering high-quality designs and documentation in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to manage workload.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Conversant with lighting design software, Lighting Reality.
• Experience with AutoCAD for lighting design tasks.
• Knowledge of DMRB, MCHDW, BS5489, BS EN 13201, BS7671 and ILP guidance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality lighting and electrical designs, drawings, specifications, and contract documentation to support project delivery.
• Undertake site surveys to inform design development and nighttime lighting assessments.
• Develop and maintain strong technical credibility and trusted relationships with clients.
• Work closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to ensure coordinated design solutions.
