Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Lighting Design Engineer to join our Street Lighting team in the UK. You will contribute to national transport projects, develop lighting and electrical designs, and support project delivery.

The role requires experience with lighting design software such as Lighting Reality and AutoCAD, knowledge of relevant standards, and strong collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams. A pro-active, client-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with lighting design software (Lighting Reality).
• Knowledge of relevant lighting standards (BS EN 13201, BS7671).
• Ability to conduct site surveys and inform design development.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and contribute to high-quality lighting and electrical designs, drawings, specifications, and contract documentation to support project delivery.
• Undertake site surveys to inform design development and nighttime lighting assessments.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and project teams to achieve successful outcomes.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to integrate design solutions.
