Job summary

Based in our flagship London Aldgate Tower office, AECOM is seeking a Principal Planner to lead planning policy projects, with flexible consideration of additional locations including Basingstoke, Bristol, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Chesterfield, Nottingham, Plymouth and Cambridge.

You will manage the planning policy team, develop strategy, coordinate multi-disciplinary projects, ensure timely delivery, uphold quality and safety, and support business development to win new opportunities.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading planning policy and strategy development.
• Client-focused with interpersonal skills and collaborative approach.
• Existing relationships with clients and local authorities.
• Business development mindset with proven work-winning ability.
• Degree in Town Planning and RTPI membership or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the town planning team to deliver policy projects.
• Lead planning policy projects and advise local authorities.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and budget.
• Ensure quality assurance and health and safety across deliverables.
• Support business development and bid activities with clients.
