Job summary

AECOM Infrastructure and Environment UK Limited is seeking a Principal Planner to lead our planning policy and strategy work from our London Aldgate Tower office, with flexible options for other locations. The role involves guiding policy projects, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, and building client relationships on major infrastructure and regeneration programs.

• Significant experience leading and contributing to planning policy and strategy development.

• Proven ability to win work and develop client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the town planning team and manage workload.
• Guide planning policy projects, policy development, and local plan studies.
• Provide strategic planning advice to clients and internal teams.
• Manage projects on budget and schedule with multi-disciplinary coordination.
• Oversee QA, compliance, and health & safety in deliverables.
• Contribute to business development and tender preparation.
