Job summary

AECOM is seeking a consultant planner to join our Planning Practice in the UK. You’ll work on planning policy projects across London, Bristol, Leeds or Manchester with hybrid working arrangements.

You will engage with clients and stakeholders to secure successful planning outcomes, support multi-disciplinary teams, and contribute to infrastructure and development projects within the Planning team. The role offers flexible hours and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience contributing to planning policy and strategy development in a consultancy or public sector role.
• Client focus with collaborative working approach.
• Business development mindset with experience in work winning and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planning policy research and analysis for policy projects.
• Assist in policy and strategy development for local authorities and growth studies.
• Develop strategic planning advice for clients and internal teams.
• Represent the organisation and manage client/stakeholder relationships through projects and events.
• Support project managers to deliver projects on budget and on schedule.
