Job summary

Bayman Atkinson Smythe Ltd in Middleton, North Manchester, is recruiting a Sales Administrator to join the supply chain team. This role supports order processing, coordination with planning, warehousing and logistics, and acts as the key link between customers and internal operations.

After training, the role is hybrid: five days in every ten working from home and in the office; hours Monday to Thursday 8:30-17:00, Friday 8:30-14:45 with a 30-minute lunch.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in related fields (customer service, sales administration, logistics, or shipping).
• Good level of numeracy and literacy ability.
• Strong computer skills, including ERP Systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Able to manage a wide variety of tasks and keep head cool in stressful situations.
• A team player and able to operate independently with ownership.
• High organisation skills and ability to manage several tasks at the same time.

Responsibilities

• Process and coordinate customer orders, ensuring product, quantity and delivery dates are clear and communicated across planning, warehousing, and logistics teams.
• Monitor orders, proactively manage delays, and update customers on status and issues.
• Coordinate with warehouse and 3PL partners for dispatch and outbound flow of goods, including documentation and export compliance.
• Liaise with sales, finance and technical teams to handle enquiries, samples and requests; resolve complaints efficiently.
• Maintain accurate sales master data and pricing in ERP systems; troubleshoot operational issues.
• Drive customer satisfaction improvements and contribute to special projects or assignments from Supply Chain Manager.
