Job summary

SR2 in Gloucestershire is seeking a System Support Analyst to join its IT team, providing production support across core line of business systems and managing incidents and requests through to resolution.

With 2+ years in system or technical support, you will monitor performance, investigate root causes, document changes, and work with internal teams and suppliers. Hybrid role (2 days in office) with 25 days holiday, pension, private health cover, and a performance bonus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a similar system support, application support or technical support role.
• Experience working within financial services would be highly desirable but not essential.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and identify root causes.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A methodical, organised approach with excellent attention to detail.
• Someone comfortable working collaboratively across different teams and managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Providing production support across core line of business systems, managing incidents, service requests and operational issues through to resolution.
• Monitoring system performance, application health, data processing and integrations to identify issues early and minimise business disruption.
• Investigating recurring incidents and system issues, carrying out root-cause analysis and helping drive permanent fixes and improvements.
• Acting as a subject matter expert for assigned systems, developing a strong understanding of functionality, configuration, data flows and dependencies.
• Supporting change and release activity, including testing, validating production changes and maintaining technical documentation.
• Working closely with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve issues and improve system performance.
