AECOM is seeking a Senior Town Planner to join our national Planning team, delivering major infrastructure and development projects across the UK. You will handle diverse workloads and have the chance to shape outcomes for energy, rail and water sectors.

The role supports a hybrid working model with base locations including London Aldgate and other offices; you’ll coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, manage planning applications, and contribute to tenders and feasibility studies.

Competenze

• Degree in Town Planning or related discipline (desirable).
• RTPI membership or equivalent (desirable).
• Demonstrable experience of working on planning applications.
• Sound knowledge of English planning policy and legislation.
• Ability to write clearly and concisely.
• Client focus with good interpersonal skills and a collaborative working approach.

Mansioni

• Project Coordination and Delivery: Assisting in the successful delivery of major development applications and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams across various project types.
• Planning Advice and Strategy: Providing planning advice to colleagues and clients on planning consent requirements and the application of permitted development rights.
• Documentation and Application Management: Writing Planning Statements and Design and Access Statements for development applications; Leading, submitting, and managing planning applications, including liaison and negotiation with local planning authorities and stakeholders.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Working closely with Environmental Impact Assessment team; Participating in meetings.
• Research, Business Development, and Project Management: Contribution to the preparation of successful commercial tenders; Carrying out planning research and analysis.
