Job summary

East Riding Pension Fund in Goole is seeking an experienced Pensions Officer to join the Member Services team. The role involves calculating pension benefits, handling complex enquiries and supporting the delivery of high-quality pensions administration.

The post is full time to cover maternity leave and will blend office and remote work. The successful candidate will apply LGPS regulations and statutory guidance, keep pension records accurate, and help supervise staff when required.

Qualifications

• Experience in LGPS or pension scheme administration.
• Ability to understand complex legislation and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Uphold an excellent pensions service within the Member Services team.
• Calculate pension benefits and authorise related payments and refunds.
• Respond to complex member enquiries with accurate and empathetic advice.
• Drive continuous improvement of processes and communications.
• Provide technical guidance and training to colleagues.
• Complete pensions tax calculations and rectify incorrect benefits in payment.
