Job summary

Amey is seeking an Operational Controller to join our Stafford site, supporting planning, scheduling and quality control for highway maintenance projects. You will coordinate on-site gangs, manage daily activities and liaise with supervisors to meet SLAs and client expectations.

The role is on site in Stafford, with a standard 37.5 hour week and flexible working options including hybrid and part-time patterns. Amey values inclusive teams and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and coordination roles.
• Proficient in MS Packages.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Data management using data to support decisions.
• Experience of working on a Highways Maintenance Contract.

Responsibilities

• Approve draft resource programme and manage daily gang activities.
• Coordinate with on-site supervisors and review jobs in Works Management system.
• Perform Level 1 quality reviews and produce reports.
• Schedule emergency works and inform supervisors of performance.
• Review programme quality with pre-works coordinator and inform clients.
• Liaise with emergency services as needed and meet daily targets.
• Improve service levels and reduce waste and costs.
