Job summary

SP Energy Networks, based in Glasgow, seeks a Design Engineer (OHL) to develop and deliver Engineering solutions for Transmission projects from 33kV to 400kV.

You will own pre-contract design information, provide technical guidance to delivery teams and ensure designs meet safety and environmental standards. A degree in engineering and OHL experience are essential, with a flexible, hybrid work pattern offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering or HND; professional membership sought.
• Significant experience in Transmission network Overhead Lines and associated equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to influence Senior Management.

Responsibilities

• Own pre-contract design information for OHL projects.
• Prepare detailed engineering specs and designs for high-value Transmission projects.
• Review drawings and technical specifications for construction, procurement and stakeholders.
• Support resolution of site and construction issues and ensure safety compliance.
