Job summary

Yusen Logistics is seeking a Logistics Coordinator at our Northampton site (NN7 2FR) to coordinate Nordic shipments. The role combines customer liaison with haulier coordination, supported by good IT skills and attention to detail.

The position offers a 9:00–17:00 shift, with up to three days of home working and a salary of £30,750. Responsibilities include real-time shipment monitoring, KPI-driven work, and close collaboration with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics administration or coordination is desirable, but training can be provided.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail.
• Good IT skills, including MS Office and Excel; transport management systems knowledge is beneficial.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Daily oversight of supplier warehouse and transportation activities; real-time shipment monitoring and proactive adjustment of plans.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Query resolution and complaint management with regular shipment status updates.
• Proactively liaising with carriers to resolve in-transit issues.
• Adhere to SOPs and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
• Be accountable for meeting KPI targets and support process improvements.
• Ensure system data is accurate and assist with reporting and performance analysis.
