Job summary

Catering, a financial services organisation in South Wales, is hiring a Junior Application Support Analyst. Hybrid working, based in Cardiff or Newport, offers good career progression and exposure to multiple projects.

You will maintain stability and usability of core applications, while gaining hands-on experience across incident management, system monitoring, user support, testing and deployments in a growing team.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate with a degree in Computer Science / IT / Information Technology or similar, or some commercial experience in a related role.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Interest in IT systems and application support.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• GitHub experience and SaaS familiarity are advantageous.
• Exposure to software testing and experience in a Financial Services environment are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Log, investigate and resolve application incidents to agreed service levels.
• Monitor application performance and system alerts; escalate as needed.
• Provide user support and help troubleshoot application issues.
• Update knowledge base articles, support guides and documentation.
• Support application releases and perform post-deployment checks.
