Job summary

Deciphex is hiring a Systems Administrator to own day-to-day IT operations across Oxford and Exeter locations. You will maintain servers, networks and endpoints, support end-users, and work with the Ireland IT team. Expect regular travel between sites and occasional weekend work for planned upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3+ years of professional IT experience in systems administration or IT operations
• Experience managing enterprise LAN/WAN networks and infrastructure
• Skilled in administration of Office 365 and/or Google Workspace
• Experience with NAS storage, routers, firewalls and VPN configuration
• Experience with Cisco/Meraki networking
• Knowledge of routing, VLANs and network infrastructure (training provided)
• ISO 27001 experience desirable

Responsibilities

• Maintain IT infrastructure (servers, networks, endpoints) for two UK sites and ensure optimal performance
• Install, maintain and configure hardware and software per company policies
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections and testing of network and server systems
• Manage information security software and incidents with the Incident Management team
• Onboard/offboard staff, configure devices and train new staff
• Provide end-user technical support (desk-side and remote) for employees and partners
• Collaborate with IT team to optimize costs and processes
• Develop and enforce IT governance, policies and security best practices
• Travel between Oxford and Exeter as required; occasional weekend work for planned upgrades
