Job summary

Alexander Mae (HR) Ltd is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join its HR team in a fast-paced, multi-site environment. You will provide day-to-day HR support across the business, ensuring employee relations, policy and people management queries are handled fairly and in line with UK employment law.

You will work closely with managers to coach through ER cases, support recruitment and development, and contribute to HR projects and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experienced HR generalist with strong employee relations knowledge.
• CIPD qualification or working towards it.
• Proven advisory support in fast-paced environments.
• Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience managing employee relations cases independently.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience producing HR data and reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR support to managers and employees.
• Act as first point of contact for ER, policy and people management queries.
• Manage ER cases including absence, disciplinary, grievance, capability and probation.
• Coach managers through formal and informal HR processes.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, retention, development and internal progression.
• Deliver HR training and support organisational change initiatives.
• Monitor HR data and produce reports highlighting trends and risks.
• Maintain accurate HR records and contribute to policy improvements.
