Job summary

Alexander Mae HR Ltd is partnering with an established, values-led organisation to recruit an HR & Learning Advisor to join the People team and provide proactive, commercially focused HR support while leading engaging L&D initiatives. This role combines HR advisory with learning strategy and development responsibilities.

You will advise managers, build strong relationships, coach on absence, performance and ER, and design learning resources, tools and pathways to support talent and succession.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
• Experience in HR advisory or business partnering.
• Coaching managers on employee relations.
• Experience supporting talent development initiatives.
• Experience producing HR data and MI.
• Experience leading HR projects and organizational change.
• Interest in learning and development; designing learning initiatives.
• Ability to create learning materials and digital content.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive HR advice and guidance to managers and colleagues.
• Build relationships with managers and stakeholders as a trusted HR partner.
• Coach managers on sickness absence, wellbeing, performance, conduct and ER.
• Advise on recruitment, workforce planning, design, succession, reward and employment law.
• Contribute to the People Strategy and wider HR initiatives.
• Support colleague engagement, wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Lead design and delivery of learning programmes meeting needs.
• Create innovative learning resources such as workshops and digital content.
• Identify learning needs and evaluate impact of interventions.
• Support talent development, career progression and leadership development.
• Lead HR projects and organizational change initiatives.
• Own induction and onboarding programme design and improvement.
• Collaborate across the People team to deliver high quality service.
