Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Fire and Security Operations Manager based in Bromsgrove. The role leads field engineers across Midlands and South-West contracts, ensuring delivery of planned and reactive works within contractual KPIs. Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days remote/field.

Candidates should have strong technical grounding in fire, life safety and security systems, plus proven leadership and client liaison skills. Salary £50k–£55k with bonus and car allowance.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of fire, life safety and security systems (fire alarms, AOV, automatic doors, warden call, door entry, access control, CCTV).
• Hands-on experience leading engineering teams and coordinating field work.
• Solid understanding of quality, health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planned, reactive, remedial, small works and project activity across customer contracts.
• Ensure service delivery meets contractual KPIs and best practice standards.
• Direct first-line management of field engineers and coordination of sub-contractors.
• Prepare quotations and support delivery of works with senior operations management.
• Coordinate specialist sub-contractor works and ensure HSE compliance across responsibilities.
• Provide holiday cover for the Regional General Manager when required.
