The role leads field engineers across Midlands and South-West contracts, ensuring delivery of planned and reactive works within contractual KPIs. Candidates should have strong technical grounding in fire, life safety and security systems, plus proven leadership and client liaison skills. Salary £50k–£55k with bonus and car allowance.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of fire, life safety and security systems (fire alarms, AOV, automatic doors, warden call, door entry, access control, CCTV).
• Hands-on experience leading engineering teams and coordinating field work.
• Solid understanding of quality, health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planned, reactive, remedial, small works and project activity across customer contracts.
• Ensure service delivery meets contractual KPIs and best practice standards.
• Direct first-line management of field engineers and coordination of sub-contractors.
• Prepare quotations and support delivery of works with senior operations management.
• Coordinate specialist sub-contractor works and ensure HSE compliance across responsibilities.
• Provide holiday cover for the Regional General Manager when required.

Fire and Security Operations Manager – Bromsgrove - £55,000

This permanent position suits a proven leader with strong technical grounding in fire, life safety and security systems. Based in Bromsgrove, the Fire and Security Operations Manager Bromsgrove £55K role oversees planned, reactive and remedial works plus small projects across Midlands and South-West contracts. Working hours run 8:30am to 5:00pm, with hybrid arrangements of three days in office and two from home or field. Salary sits between £50,000 and £55,000, supplemented by a bonus scheme, vehicle or allowance, and 22 days' holiday plus bank. Applicants need experience managing engineers, scheduling maintenance, ensuring compliance and delivering against agreed targets. Strong commercial awareness and client liaison skills are essential.

We are currently working with a fire, life safety and security specialist business who provide a wide range of service, maintenance, remedial, small works and project support across customer contracts throughout the Midlands and South-West. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an Operations Manager to join their team based from Bromsgrove.

Salary Package:

Area Of Cover:

• Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, covering the Midlands and South-West region.

Duties:

• Overseeing planned, reactive, remedial, small works and project activity across customer contracts
• Ensuring service delivery meets best practice standards and contractual KPIs
• First-line management of field-based service engineers and coordination of sub-contractor activity
• Managing incoming reactive, remedial and small works calls to ensure engineering attendance meets contractual KPIs
• Producing quotations and supporting the delivery of resulting works in collaboration with senior operational management
• Coordinating specialist sub-contractor works
• Ensuring health and safety policies and procedures are followed across all areas of responsibility
• Supporting compliance with quality, health, safety and environmental management systems
• Completing post-inspections on a sample of calls to audit completion standards and support high levels of engineer performance
• Providing holiday cover for the Regional General Manager where required

Experience Required:

Essential:

• Strong technical knowledge of fire, life safety and security systems, including fire alarms, AOV, automatic doors, warden call, door entry, access control and CCTV systems.
• Hands-on experience working with engineering teams.
• Good knowledge of quality, health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Competent IT skills, including Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:

• Previous management experience would be advantageous.
• Experience using engineering planning software to dispatch and schedule calls would be desirable.
