Job summary

Bet365 is seeking a Business Systems Application Engineer to support and evolve a vast enterprise application ecosystem across hybrid environments. You will act as the primary escalation point, SME for key tools, and manage a wide range of on-premise, SaaS and cloud-hosted apps to ensure high availability and security.

The role requires strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and vendor coordination, with a focus on incident resolution and seamless platform performance.

Qualifications

• Proven track record supporting SaaS, cloud-based architectures and enterprise systems
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capability across complex application environments
• Practical knowledge of application lifecycle management, including upgrades, patches and system integration
• Demonstrated stakeholder management skills across diverse technical and operational disciplines
• Sound technical judgement when resolving critical incidents and assessing system risks
• Solid understanding of vendor management principles and 3rd party service level agreements

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical escalation point for internal teams on system-related issues, maintenance and deployments
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for key toolsets, advising on new features and architectural improvements
• Maintain and support a wide range of on-premise, SaaS and cloud-hosted business applications
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical incidents to maintain high service availability
• Liaise with cross-functional teams to communicate case progress and deliver prompt technical resolutions
• Manage 3rd party vendors against SLAs to ensure reliable service delivery and support
• Oversee the testing and deployment of software patches and application upgrades to ensure security and compliance
• Monitor system performance and reporting tools to maintain platform uptime across hybrid infrastructure
• Collaborate with business teams and external partners to evaluate, design and integrate new technical solutions
• Utilising AI to provide solutions and suggest improvements
