Job summary

bet365 is hiring a Business Systems Application Engineer to support and evolve the enterprise application ecosystem for a global operation. You will manage a diverse portfolio of applications across on‑premise, SaaS and cloud-hosted environments, providing expert guidance and incident resolution.

In this hybrid role, you will perform root-cause analysis, collaborate with internal teams and external vendors, and contribute to platform performance with SME oversight and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting SaaS, cloud-based architectures and enterprise systems.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities across complex application environments.
• Practical knowledge of application lifecycle management, including upgrades, patches and system integration.
• Demonstrated stakeholder management across diverse technical and operational disciplines.
• Solid judgment resolving incidents and assessing system risks.
• Understanding of vendor management principles and SLAs with 3rd parties.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical escalation point for internal teams on system-related issues.
• Serve as SME for key toolsets, advising on new features and architectural improvements.
• Maintain and support a wide range of on-premise, SaaS and cloud-hosted business applications.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical incidents to maintain high service availability.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams to communicate case progress and deliver prompt technical resolutions.
• Manage 3rd party vendors against SLAs to ensure reliable service delivery and support.
• Oversee testing and deployment of patches and application upgrades for security and compliance.
• Monitor system performance and reporting tools to maintain platform uptime across hybrid infrastructure.
• Collaborate with business teams and external partners to evaluate, design and integrate new technical solutions.
• Utilising AI to provide solutions and suggest improvements.
