Job summary

Glasgow Life is seeking a Development Assistant to join our Development team, helping fund important projects and delivering excellent donor experiences. You will support the delivery of our giving programmes, handle donor communications, and manage CRM workflows across Glasgow Life Museums and Celtic Connections Festival.

The role requires strong organisation, clear communication, and careful attention to detail, with hybrid working arrangements combining office and home-based tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a donor or customer facing role.
• Strong organisation skills with ability to handle changing priorities.
• Ability to communicate confidently and deliver a positive donor/member experience.
• Excellent attention to detail in administrative tasks and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams; experience with CRM is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Individual Giving Officer with administrative duties for membership events and communications in Glasgow Life.
• Be the first point of contact for donors, manage the fundraising phone line and newsletters in The Raiser's Edge.
• Support donor stewardship, thanking donors and sending membership packs.
• Process gifts and memberships through The Raiser’s Edge CRM.
• Assist venues in Glasgow Life with new fundraising tools such as contactless devices.
• Manage event responses, guest lists and welcome donors at events.
